Leo Cleveland Helms, 79, of Jonesboro, passed away September 12, 2016 in Jonesboro.

Born July 18, 1937 in Lauratown, Lawrence County, Arkansas. He was the son of Cleo Cleveland Helms and Josephine Ann Oliver Helms.

Early in his life he worked on a river boat and road construction. He went to work as a propane truck driver for White River Propane. In April 1962, he moved his family to Carpinteria, California where he worked as a ranch hand and raised his family on the Spaulding Ranch until he moved back to Arkansas in 1978. He returned to what changed to Norgas and then Ferrell Gas Propane where he worked many years until he retired. Because of his work he befriended many many people in his life. All through his life he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved if he could find someone who loved his passion as much as he did to go with him. He was of the Pentecost faith.

He is preceded in death by a daughter Sharon Rose Helms; his parents Cleo and Josie Helms; his sisters, Louella Lawson, Ruby Lawson Snow, June Richey, Lynn Gayle Shank; his brothers, Dexter JC Helms and Cedric McMullin.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosey Marilyn Baldridge Helms who he married May 19, 1956; his daughters Karen Toth (Steve) of Jacksonville, Beverly Campos of the home and Nancy Williams, Brookland; his grandchildren; Steven Spades, Leesburg, VA; Sean Spades, Sherwood; Kristy Campos, Carpinteria, CA; Eric Campos, Ventura, CA; Ian Williams, Jonesboro and Tyler Williams (Holly),Jonesboro; his great grandchildren Molly Williams, Bryson Spades and Xavier Campos; his sisters, Florence Lingo and Sybil Westberg, Oxnard, CA; Polly Davis, Camarillo, CA; Shirley Kelley(Alan) Ventura, CA; a brother, Kenneth Luck(Carolyn), Muskogee, OK and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Friday, September 16, 2016 at 2 PM in the Old Lebanon Cemetery in Eaton with Bro. Harold Russell officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 PM till 8 PM.

Rosa “Rosey” Marilyn Helms, 81, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge.

She was born September 16, 1939 in Black Rock to Hubert & Marie Herring Baldridge. She worked at Skil Corporation for 24 years until retiring.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Helms; one daughter, Sharon Rose Helms and one brother Bobby Neece.

Survivors include three daughters, Karen Toth (Steve) of Sherwood, Beverly Campos of Trumann and Nancy Williams of Brookland; one sister, Shirley Lee (Ray) of Portia; 6 grandchildren, Steven Spades (Paula), Sean Spades, Kristy Garnica (Ray), Eric Campos, Ian Williams and Tyler Williams (Holly); 4 great grandchildren, Bryson Spades, Molly and Lydia Williams and Xavier Garnica; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2 P.M. in the Old Lebanon Cemetery near Lynn with Bro. Harold Russell officiating.
