I. J. Kirkpatrick, of Fayetteville, died Thursday in a local nursing home. Born at McGregor, Texas, the son of Robert I. and Mary Alice Johnson Kirkpatrick, he was retired from the poultry industry and a member of the First Christian Church, the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans and was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Kirkpatrick of the home; one son, Burnard M. of Dallas, Texas; a daughter Mrs. Joy Lee Sly of Rogers; two granddaughters and one great granddaughter.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Nelson's Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
