FAYETTEVILLE - George Lewis Kirsch, 77, of Fayetteville died Jan. 13, 1997, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Jan. 28, 1919, at Manchester, Okla., to John and Bertha Villines Kirsch. He was a master machinist for the research services for 35 years at the University of Arkansas before his retirement on July 1, 1981. He attended State Teachers College it Alma, Okla., and the University of Arkansas. He was a charter member of North Street Church of Christ and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Kirsch of the home, to whom he was married 57 years; one daughter and son-in-haw, Georgia Ann Whittington and Mitchell of Appleton, Wis.; two granddaughters, Michelle McKinnie of Bastrop, La., and Janna Reynolds of Appleton; three great-grandsons, Christopher Reynolds, Hunter McKinnie and Bryan Mitchell Reynolds; two sisters, Lena Frank Huffman of Wichita, Kan., and Marva Powell of Everson, Wash.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville with burial in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
