Gerald L. Davis, 58, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on March 20, 1995, in Houston, Texas, after an extended illness.
He was born July 3, 1936 in Vandervoort, Arkansas. Mr. Davis graduated from the University of Arkansas where he received his degree in Electrical Engineering.
He was with Baldwin Piano and Organ Company for 35 years where he held several positions, most recently being Divisional vice-president of the Fayetteville, Arkansas Electronics Factory.
He is survived by his wife Billie Davis of the home; his parents Lester G. and Doris Kyle Davis of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; four daughters, Ceila Torres of Scottsdale, Arizona, Pamela Westberg of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Debbie Hillman of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Paula Davis of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two step-sons, Ricky and Randy Ball both of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one stepdaughter, Ruth Ball of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Stephen and Stephanie Westberg of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; five step-grandchildren; two brothers, Dwayne Davis and Steve Davis both of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; four sisters, Elnora Johnson of Pinetop, Arizona, Shirley Bovay of Richmond, Missouri, Sharon Parsons of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Wanda Atkins of Bentonville, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, 1995 at Nelson's Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Cathie Charles and the Rev. J.D. Chastain officiating.
Pallbearers are Gary Lehren, Derrell Davis, Charles Corrington, Pat Watkins, Dave Peck and Lonnie Kirkpatrick.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 1995, family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Hospitality Apartments-HRDF, Apartment 9, 7219 Cecil Street, Houston, TX 77030. These apartments are provided for Leukemia patients and their families.
