Joyce B. Tainter, 87, of Marianna, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Joyce passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
She was born in Marianna on July 25, 1925 to Reuben and Myrtle Bullard. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Reuben and Myrtle Bullard; one sister, Arline Thompson.
She leaves behind her husband of sixty six years Keith Stacy Tainter; two daughters Anice Griffith and husband Bob of Pontotoc, Mississippi; Susan Clay and husband Russ of Marianna; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marianna.
Joyce grew up working in the Lee County Court House under her uncle Davis Bullard as a Deputy Clerk
After being elected County and Probate Clerk she retired December 31, 1976.
Family request memorials be sent to First Baptist Church 47 West Main St. Marianna, Arkansas 72360.
Services will be Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00 A. M. at First Baptist Church with Reverend Todd Maino officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10-11:00 A. M.
Burial will follow at Cedar Heights Cemetery in Marianna.
