Omer O. Barker, Jr. age 87, of North Little Rock, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at St. Vincent's.
He was born October 23, 1924 in Madison, West Virginia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Omer O. Sr. and Hercie Linville Barker; two sisters Hazel Miller and Mable Walker; and one brother, Glendell.
He is survived by Jenny, his wife of 35 years and son Jon of the home; one daughter, Lori and husband Chris Cullum of Conway, Ar.; two treasured granddaughters, Claire and Kate Cullum; and one nephew, Ronnie Walker and wife Shirley of West Virginia.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Barker retired from Southern Farmer's Association as Vice President of the Feed Division.
Arrangements are being made by Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, October 16 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital- ENT/Cleft Team in honor of Claire Cullum.
