Mr. Bobbie Lee Carr (BC) of Pine Bluff, formerly of Hughes, AR went peacefully to be with the Lord Sunday May 12, 2013. He is a son of Leonard Carr, Sr. and Marie Willis Carr.

He was preceded in death by both parents, two Brothers, Leonard Carr, Jr. and Ruffin Carr, two sisters Laverne Carr and Herby Carr Harris.

He is survived by his wife Jonnie Lovette Carr of 39 years, four daughters Melody Laverne Carr of La Grange Park, IL, Jennifer Carr of Marion, AR, Erma Carr of Forrest City, AR and Pamela Carr of Memphis, TN. Nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren. One beloved sister, Kay Frances Carr of Cleveland, OH. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-laws, and sisters-in-laws.

He is a retired employee of the City of Pine Bluff after 35 years. He was formerly a member of Hughes Chapel Baptist Church of Hughes AR and later moved his membership to New Faith Missionary Baptist Church. He received his early education from Mildred Jackson High of Hughes AR. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff In 1973. He served in the US Marines from 1967 to 1969. He was promoted to Lance Corporal in 1968. He was discharged with an honorable discharge. He also received several decorative medals two of which is A Purple Heart, National defense service medal and Vietnam campaign medal w/device.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at New Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 3800 South Fir Street, Pine Bluff by Rev. Stoney Shaw. Burial will be Monday, May 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery in North Little Rock by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.

The Body will lie in state Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Visitation will be Friday from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
