Bobby Earl Johnson age 53 of Hot Springs, formerly of McGhee died Friday, June 14, 2013 in Hot Springs. He was born July 17, 1959 in Dermott, Arkansas to Earnest and Sammie Jane Earvin Johnson.
Bobby Earl was a attended Tillar Public Schools and graduated in 1979. He joined the United States Marine Corps. and served his country honorably. He was a former employee of Nation's Small Engine.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Travistine Johnson; father, Earnest Johnson; sister, Lola Mae Hewing; brothers, Earnest Johnson, Jr. and Walter Johnson; grandparents, Murry and Francis McGowan, Walter and Augustavius Johnson; special friend Harvey Hewing.
Survivors include his loving mother Sammie Jane Johnson, McGehee; three daughters, Datasha Willis of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Hatondra Willis of San Diego, California, and Aidrianna (DeCarlos) Carr of McGehee; two grandsons, Carmeron Gaucin and Devin Charleston; one granddaughter, Kaiya Charleston; two brothers, Jeffery Johnson and Carl (Valisha) Johnson both of Huntsville, Alabama; five sisters, Barbara (John) Shorts of Detroit Michigan, Sharon (Matt) Richie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Tracy Johnson and Jennifer (Doran) Newhouse all of McGehee, Arkansas; and Gwendolyn Johnson of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at St. Thomas Baptist Church 347 Grove Street Hot Springs. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. In the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, AR. Visitation will be 5:00 – 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
