WILLIAM (BILL) S. REKOW, of Jacksonville, born Jan. 23,1946, lost his fight with cancer on Sept. 6, 2013. He was born in LaCrosse, Wis. Bill was a Vietnam War Veteran, proudly serving his country in the US Air Force from 1965 to 1985.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed his passions of farming and hunting. Bill enjoyed spending time and sharing many entertaining farming and hunting stories with friends and family, especially his 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Stanley and Gloria Meyer Rekow.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Somchan Rekow; one son, Sunny (Erin) Rekow of Benton; four daughters, Sara (Brian) Sullivan of Wisconsin, Serena (Scott) Evans of Texas, Susan (Kevin) Smith and Carol (Brian) Risner, both of Lonoke; 13 grandchildren, Kristy (Ryan) Hobson, Scott and Kody Smith, Kaleigh, Ashleigh and Brett Sullivan, Brandon and Jordin Rekow, Jett, Tristan and Sydney Evans, and Zack and Will Risner; two sisters, Carol Langdon and Betty Judd; two brothers, John and Jim Rekow; one uncle, Gordy Meyer; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 in the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery.
