Susan Lynne Matlock Johnson, 67, of Conway, formerly of Damascus, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016. She was born on November 7, 1948 to the late Donald Carl White and the late Iris Arlene Murphy White.
Mrs. Johnson worked for Bob and Frank Brannan at Brannan's Drive Inn in Conway for many years. She was of the Baptist faith, but her greatest joy was taking care of her family which she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Carl White; and a niece, Brandy White.
She is survived by her son, Russell Matlock (Erike) of Guy; daughters, Jennifer Thorn (Randy) of Guy and Rebecca Ferrell (Shawn) of Conway; brother, Charles White (Deann) of Perry, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Matlock, Kylie Matlock, Brianna Duncan, Bryar Thorn, Julienna Thorn, Jade Matlock and Jasper Matlock; great-grandchildren, Braylen Matlock, Hayden Matlock and Aiden Matlock; and a host of other family and friends.
Family visitation will be Tuesday, October 4, 2016, 6:00-8:00PM at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 2:00PM at Copperas Springs Baptist Church with Brother Gary Burdin officiating. Interment will follow in Copperas Springs Cemetery.
