Charles W. Andrews, 84, of Sherwood, Arkansas, died January 3, 2014.

He was born in Arkadelphia September 14, 1929, the son of the late Robert and Willie Lee (Auld) Andrews.

He retired from the US Army in 1969 as Sergeant First Class E-7 after serving in Japan, Korea, Germany, Turkey and Vietnam and was awarded several metals including the Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star, Army Commendation and the Good Conduct metal. He lived and worked in Malvern for 22 years before moving to Sherwood in 1991.

He leaves behind a wife of 61 years, Martha (Burton) Andrews and beloved companion Coco, daughter Charlotte Yarberry, son Danny Andrews and wife Susan Tacloban, brother David Andrews and wife Jody of Canton, TX, five grand-children, Ryan Andrews, Chad Andrews, Andrew Yarberry, Tanner Yarberry and Ashley Tacloban.

He was preceded in death by daughter Pamela Regina, his parents, brothers Chester, Robert, Calvin and Ernest Andrews, sisters Marie Case and Lillian Jenkins.

Arrangements were by: Arkansas Funeral Care in Jacksonville. Memorial services with honors were at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
