A service of remembrance for Tewana Star Rubin, age 59, of Hot Springs, who departed this life on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at her residence, will be held at Eureka Missionary Baptist Church, with Dr. Steve Lake pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery Sherwood with services provided by Brandon's Mortuary, Inc.

Tewana was a United State Army Veteran serving as an Administrative Specialist. She received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and several other commendations while on active duty. Her work history includes the Forestry Service, U. S. Coast Guard, Department of Human Services Hot Springs, and she was a member of Eureka Missionary Baptist Church.

Tewana leaves to celebrate her home going two sons: Lawrence Rubin of Dallas, Texas and Stacy T. Rubin (Amy) of Rogers, Arkansas; daughter Tiffany Starr Rubin of Arlington, Texas; her mother Barbara Jean Walker of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brothers: Carl Mckinney of Little Rock, Arkansas; Anthony McKinney of Hot Springs, Arkansas and half-brother Waddie Henderson of Topeka, Kansas and five grandchildren.
