LITTLE FLOCK — Lewis Lee York, 68, of Little Flock died Oct. 21, 2002, at his home. He was born March 26, 1934, in Houston, Texas, to Richard and Maxine Scruggs York. He served 20 years in the Navy and retired as chief petty officer. He worked for 18 years in the oil exploration industry until retiring to Northwest Arkansas in 1989 to enjoy gardening, fishing and traveling. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Fleet Reserve Association. He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Lewis York, in 1997, and one grandson, Joshua Keith York.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Louise York of the home, to whom he was married 49 years; two sons, J. Phillip York and wife Barbara of Tyler, Texas, and Douglas P. York and wife Tammy of Houston; one daughter, Leslie York Lyons and husband Danny of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, Gary H. York of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Jerry L. York of Del Rio, Texas; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will to held at 10 a.m. today at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers with Dick Nelson officiating.

Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery near Garfield.

Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 100 in Rogers. Memorials maybe made to a favorite charity.
