Kathleen "Kathy" Kurcz, 73, of Sherwood passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on April 30, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Teresa Matulevicz; husband, August (Gus) Kurcz; twin infant daughters; and brother, Joseph Matulevicz, Jr. She is survived by two sons, Mark Kurcz and Andy Kurcz(Sarah); two grandsons, Austin and Brandon, all of Sherwood; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Frank Cahoy, of Bridgeport, Nebraska; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Frank Udron, of Omaha, Nebraska.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., Thursday followed by a rosary service at 4:00 p.m., at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock.

August John "Gus" Kurcz of Sherwood, AR. Passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on June 20, 1935 Rose and Henry Kurcz. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin daughters; two sisters, Pauline Kurcz and Leona Cole; and brothers, Frank, Walter, Benjamin, John, Edward and Theodore Kurcz. He is survived by wife of 50 years, Kathleen Matulevicz Kurcz; two sons, Mark Kurcz, Andy Kurcz and Sarah; two grandsons, Austin and Brandon Kurcz all of Sherwood; one sister, Mary Udron (Frank) of Omaha, Nebraska; and his furry pal, Jake. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, AR 72116.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL 10am Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. VISITATION from 3-4pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home with the Rosary to follow at 4pm. Cremation.
