John was born Febuary 11, 1940 in Colorado Springs, CO and died January 11, 2010 in Colorado Springs, CO. He attended Fountain Schools. In 1958 he joined the Navy and was in until 1968. After the Navy he went on to do farm work and casual labor. John was predeceased by his parents John H. Sr. and Grace M. Sours,one brother Richard Sours, one niece Wanda Maestas and one nephew Nathan Sours. Surviving him are his sisters Joanne Woods of Florence, TX; Hazel Stolpe of Hot Springs, AR; Rose Fredette of Lafayette, LA; Helen Sours of San Diego, CA and one brother Keith Sours of Grand Junction, CO as well as numerous neices and nephews. A Memorial Service was held Jan 16th at First United Methodist Church in Fountain, CO with Military Honors provided by the Pikes Pead Veterans Honor Guard. Memorials can be made to the Memorial Fund at First UMC of Fountain; P.O. Box 607; Fountain, CO 80817 or Odyssey Health Care Hospice at 5526 N. Academy Blve. Suite 108; Colorado Springs, CO 80917. We will miss him.
