William Joseph West, 81, of Little Rock, passed away February 19, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in Cave City to Claude and Zela Simpson West who preceded him in death.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He served as a Deacon and Elder at Southwest Presbyterian and Cumberland Presbyterian Churches and was a Wesley Sunday School teacher at St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beulah D. West; children, Claude G. West (Carolyn) of Marion, Arkansas, Priscilla Jane Hoben of Goose Creek, South Carolina, John Robert West of Grand Junction, Colorado, Patricia Susan Daniels (Johnny) of Marion, Iowa, and Angela Joy West of Little Rock; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be Friday, February 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 4600 Baseline Rd., Little Rock, AR 72209.
