Ivan Michael Beckius, age 90, of Little Rock, died June 29, 2013. Ivan was born in Jordan, MN on October 31, 1922 to Michael and Catherine Beckius.

Ivan proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corp on the 459th Bomb Squad, 330th Bomb Group. He retired from 40 years of service at St. Paul Companies as Risk Management Services Manager in 1987. Following his retirement, he served as CVIPS Coordinator (Citizens Volunteers) for the City of Little Rock Police Department.

Ivan loved spending time on the farm in Minnesota on which he grew up, loved fishing and golf, and was an excellent woodcrafter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Catherine, his brothers, Roman, Lambert and Bob, sisters, Marie and Bernice, and his sons, Michael and David Beckius.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Beckius; his son Larry and wife Paula; his daughter, Katherine Freeman and her husband Bob; grandchildren, Robert and Keith Freeman and Joey and Jennifer Beckius, as well as five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:00a.m., Wednesday, July 3rd at Christ the King Catholic Church with Monsignor Francis Malone officiating. Burial will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.

Rosary will be held on July 2nd at 7:00p.m. at the Church. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Slot 655, Little Rock, AR 72205.
