(Ret.) Chief Master Sargeant Silas Benjamin LeGrow, 90, of Cabot, AR, passed away January 15, 2013. He was born August 12, 1922, in Bauline, Newfoundland, to the late Benjamin LeGrow and Mary Whalen LeGrow. He was a WWII Veteran and Bataan Death March and POW survivor in the Pacific Theatre. He is survived by his wife, Edna LeGrow of Cabot, AR and four sons; Kenny LeGrow and Howard LeGrow of Cabot, David LeGrow (Cathy) Of West Plains, MO, and Robert LeGrow (Kay) of Hernando, MS. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Brett LeGrow (Jennifer) of Southaven, MS, and Aaron LeGrow of San Diego, CA; two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Blake LeGrow of Southaven, MS; a sister, Anita Gaulton of Stephenville, Newfoundland, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Wayne LeGrow.
A special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Little Rock Veterans' Hospital.
Memorial service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 15, 2013 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. North Little Rock, AR 72116 (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery.

Edna L. LeGrow, 87, of Jacksonville passed on to meet the Lord, her husband and loved ones in Heaven on Thursday December 31, 2015.

Edna was born February 17, 1928 in Tampa, Fla. to the late Edgar and Eva Lewis. She attended church at Little Rock Air Force Base Chapel. And was a member of the Protestant Women of the Chapel. She also was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville. She was a member of the NCO Wives Club and the VFW Auxillary at Jacksonville Post 4548.

Edna was raised in Tampa, Florida and graduated from Hillsborough High School. She met husband Silas LeGrow before World War II and married him after his return from the war. Edna shared a career with Silas as he served in the Air Force, raising sons, Robert, Howard, David, Michael and Kenneth. Stationed in Spokane, Washington, Tachikawa Air Force Base, Japan, Ernest Harmon Air Force Base, Newfoundland and finally Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville which became home.

Edna was wonderful, always there for her family. She loved to make clothes and decorating cakes. She loved selling Avon and was a Presidents Club member also.

Edna loved talking with her friends. She loved the Base Chapel and her friends there. She enjoyed seeing her grandchildren. Edna was preceded in passing by her husband, Silas LeGrow, her son, Michael LeGrow, her brothers Frank, Randolph and George Lewis along with her loving sister Ruth Davies and brother-in-law Ed Schulteis.

Edna leaves her loved ones, sister Martha Schulteis of Kansas, son Robert (Kay)LeGrow, Hernando, Miss., grandson Brett(Jennifer) LeGrow, Olive Branch, Miss. and their children great granddaughter Brooke and great grandson Blake. Son David(Cathy)LeGrow, Sevierville, Tenn., grandson Aaron LeGrow and partner Barbara Edwards, San Diego, Calif. and their newborn baby great granddaughter Odette. She leaves sons Howard and Kenneth LeGrow of Jacksonville. Brother-in-law Dan Davies, Florida, sister-in-law Stella Lewis, Florida and many, nieces, nephews and their children.
