Opal Joann Sandefer
January 25, 1940 - October 8, 2008
John W. Sandefer, age 84 North Little Rock, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at Little Rock. He was born March 22, 1929 in Dell, Arkansas and he was the son of Albert and Mattie Sandefer.
Mr. Sandefer was a retired mechanic and a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, as well as a faithful member of North Little Rock Church of God.
He is preceded in death by his wife Opal JoAnn Sandefer, his parents Albert and Mattie Sandefer, two sisters Shirley Lawrence and Melvina Burns, and a brother Calvin Sandefer.
Survivors include his grandson Christopher Sandefer; stepchildren Donna Reed and husband James, Kenneth Hickerson and Jimmy Tompkins; and brother in laws Robert Lawrence and James Burns.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Sherwood. Burial will be held at a later date at the Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery in North Little Rock.
