1935 - 2016
Wife of Harold Lloyd Milligan, US AIR FORCE, STAFF SERGANT, KOREA
She was born January 13, 1935 in Markville, Mn. to Charles and Sofia (Blackburn) Schaaf, the youngest of 15 children.
While being known as a devout Catholic and proud St. Croix Chippewa Indian to everyone she met, she will always be a beloved wife, momma, grandma, granana, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to those who she shared her love with. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: William, John, Fred, George, James, Charles, Robert; and her sisters: Baby Girl, Lillian, Mena, and Louise. She is also proceeded in death by her brother-in-law, Howard Milligan.
She will be remembered for being a funny, friendly, and, at times, feisty lady we were blessed to have in our lives. She worked at the K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base hospital and dining hall and would eventually retire from the Veterans Administration. She loved laughter, family, dancing, fishing, and crafts. She enjoyed nature and her numerous hours on Petit Jean Mtn., DeGray Lake, or simply watching the hummingbirds and song birds enjoy her flowerbeds at her home. We will miss her sense of humor, wit, and compassion.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, and soulmate of 50 years, Harold Milligan of Houston Ar. She is also survived by two daughters, Marie Gates of Houston and Jeannie (Don) Frizzell of Conway; her grandchildren: Aimee Jorgenson (Stuart) Stough of NLR, James (Donna) Stacy of Sherwood, Benjamin Frizzell of Houston, Kelli Frizzell of Conway; and her great-grand children: Gannon, Joseph, and Morgan. She also leaves behind siblings: Frank (Mary) Schaaf of Sandstone, Mn., Ed (Ione) Schaaf of Pequot Lakes, Mn., and Marie (Gene) Stadick of St. Stephen, Mn.; Sister-in-law, Darlene Milligan, of Everett, Wa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
