Blanche Applegate, 95, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Bentonville, died Saturday, Jan. 16, at a Tulsa nursing home.
She was born Dec. 12, 1897, at McDonald County, Mo., to George Lemmon and Minta Collins Marney Lemmon. She was a member of Bella Vista, Rogers, and Bentonville Bridge Clubs and was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Applegate, in 1951, and a daughter, Nancy Applegate.
Survivors are a son, Joe Applegate of Tulsa; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel, Bentonville, with the Rev. Ben Hines officiating. Burial is to be in Bentonville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Bentonville.
