1942 - 2015
Glen Kirkwood Bell, 72, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at the John L McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital.
Glen is preceded in death by his mother Mignon “Mickey” Chism Bell whom he loved dearly. Glen is survived by his daughters Michele Bell of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Mickey White of Benton, Arkansas and their families respectively. Glen is also survived by his sister Joann Shima of Huntington Beach, California.
Glen was born August 22, 1942 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He served in the United States Marine Corps., and upon discharge he went on to spend his career working on many commercial and residential construction projects as a drywall finisher.
Glen was a passionate man that loved his family and friends. Glen enjoyed spending time with his family, his friends, and especially his girlfriend Jerri Kay and his precious pup Buddy. Glen’s quick witted humor and infectious laugh could brighten any situation especially among his friends and family, not to mention strangers he’d only just met for the first time. Glen was also able to experience and embrace the freedom of the open road and to feel the wind blowing through his hair on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved the fact that he had experienced nature in all its glory from the mountains of Colorado and the beaches of California.
During Glen’s final days leading up to his passing, God placed individuals in his path that prayed with him and shared with him God’s grace and peace. On July 6, 2015 Glen shared with those in the room with him that “if I meet God tomorrow I have no regrets”, Glen placed his hands behind his head as to relax and at that moment heaven welcomed him home. Glen’s final moments are a testament to God’s scripture and perfect timing.
Although Glen will be missed here on earth we find comfort in that he is resting easy in God’s love and protection.
