Martha Yancey, 64
Martha Ann Yancey, 64 of Oakland passed away peacefully with her children by her side Monday, August 28, 2017 in Oakland. She was born November 8, 1952 in Alabama. Martha enjoyed the people and working for 25 years at the Good Samaritan Society in Mountain Home. She loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her whole life. Martha is preceded in death by her late husband, Larry Yancey; a daughter, Dacia Yancey and her mother, Gesna Marie Lucky.
Martha is survived by a daughter, Tara Headstream of Noel, Missouri; two sons, Larry Yancey, Jr. (Janie Neel) and Remmel Yancey of Oakland; a sister, Annette Kelly of Springfield, Missouri; six grandchildren, Taleah Ross of Calico Rock, Kaleb Ross of Mountain Home, Dalton Jones of Mountain Home, Kaitlynn Ford and Gabriel Terrill, both of Oakland, Jackie Neel of Forth Smith; a niece, Cheynne Horton of Springfield, Missouri and a nephew, Cody Hubbard of Springfield, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Athena and Draven Cox of Calico Rock.
A visitation will be Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., at the Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center. The funeral service will be Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., at the Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel with burial at the Galatia Cemetery in Norfork.
Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Society in Mountain Home, 200 Good Samaritan Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
