Fallon Snyder, 88, of Hot Springs Village died on Sunday April 27, 2014 at a local hospital with his wife by his side. Fallon was born July 28, 1925 to the late Bryan Jr. and Marguerite Shumate Snyder in Dallas, Texas.

Fallon served in the United States Marine Corp as a sea marine, where he earned a Purple Heart for his time of duty during a kamikaze attack on the Battle Ship West Virginia, in Okinawa, Japan during WWII.

Following the war, Fallon returned home and attended SMU where he received his bachelor's degree in business and went to work in the family printing business. Fallon quickly became the president where he spent 43 years in the business, serving a term as President of the Advertising Club of Dallas, and also President of the Printing Industry Association before his retirement, when he and his wife Dixie moved to Hot Springs Village.

After moving to Hot Springs Village, Fallon and his wife built the Mini Mall off Hwy 7N best known as The Flower Dome, where he worked delivering flowers for many years.

Fallon is preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife of twenty-nine years Shirlee Stovall Snyder and one brother: Oliver P. Snyder. He is survived by his adoring wife of thirty-four years; two sons and daughters-in-law; two daughters and sons-in-law; Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law of Austin, TX and also his extended family Samantha and husband Derek and three beautiful children all of Hot Springs.

Fallon will always be remembered for his infectious smile and Great Spirit, Fallon truly never meet a stranger and was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Memorial services were held at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock on Thursday May 8. 2014. Burial immediately followed. A Celebration of Life followed at Charlie's Pizza Pub at 5398 N. Hwy 7 in Hot Springs Village.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations be made in his honor to Hot Springs Village Animal Shelter.

Services were entrusted to CedarVale Funeral Home.
