Kenneth G. Leger of Sherwood passed away March 19, 2014. Born on January 5, 1937 to Edwin F. and Laurette Dumont Leger.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Robert, Edwin and Edward Leger.

Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Betty Jo, daughters Lynda Jo Palmer (J. W.) of Cabot, Brenda Leger of NLR and grandchildren Julie Davidson, Kevin Staples, Mark Staples, Callie Leger Wood and Sidney Leger Wood and three great-grandchildren, Alicea, Lane and Abby Davidson as well as his four brothers, two sisters and numerous other family members.

Kenneth proudly served his country for 21 years in the U. S. Marine Corps, retiring as a Gunnery Sgt. He went on to work at the Pulaski County Assessors Office, then became the Youth Sports Director for LRAFB for ten years and later owned Ken's Sharpening Shop in Gravel Ridge. His favorite things were family times, hearing the Marine Corps Hymn, playing Craps in Tunica, using the word "expediting", trout fishing, RV-ing, cheering the Boston Red Sox and surprising Betty with flowers & found treasures.

A Rosary with visitation to follow will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, March 24 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 25, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave., NLR.
