September 1, 1918 - December 28, 2016
Franke Jeanette Demoret, 98, a resident of Dover, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born September 1, 1918, at Jetmore, Kansas to Glenn Arnold and Lillie Hepler Phillips.
She married Harold Leroy Demoret on April 17, 1938, in Hodgeman County, Kansas. She was a member of the Worthwhile Club in Kansas and taught school in country schools in Kansas before she married. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, crafts and crossword puzzles.
She was a member of the Phoenix Free Will Baptist Church near Dover.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Jack and Lloyd Phillips; a sister, Glenna McKinney; two granddaughters, Lisa Carole Ross and Lora Lynn Brown Warren; and a great-great-grandson, Lucas Clancy.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, four daughters and sons-in-law, 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at the Humphrey Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Pledger and the Rev. Joey Hanna officiating. Burial will be in Owens Cemetery near Dover under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Mrs. Demoret’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
