Mrs. Lillie Etta Strange, 80, of Pine Bluff died Wednesday in a Pine Bluff hospital. She was a former resident of Smackover having lived there for 26 years before moving to Pine Bluff in 1963. A native of Falcon in Nevada County, she was the widow of Oliver G. Strange whom she married in 1906. She was a member of the Smackover Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons, Harold Strange of Pine Bluff, Horace Strange of Brinkley and O'Dell Strange of Knoxville, Tenn.; two daughters, Mrs. S. E. Smeltzer of Corsicana, Tex., and Mrs. Earl Beavers of Smackover; a sister, Mrs. Hugh Lee Simpson of Taylor; 20 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Smackover Church of Christ with Theron Ware, minsister, officiating. Interment will be in the Smackover Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ralph Robinson and Son of Pine Bluff. (El Dorado Times - December 11, 1969)
