ROGERS — Emma Jean Marchant, 91, passed away Friday at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark.

She was born Aug. 31, 1922, to Roy and Nora Ford Simpson at home in Benton County.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cave Springs since 1954. She retired from Walmart. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse Marchant who passed away in 1989 and a brother, Bob Simpson, and infant son.

Survivors include three daughters, Gaylene Vanhook of Cave Springs, Carolyn Williams (Larry) of Bentonville, Debra Smith (Gary) of Rogers; sister, Lucille Phillips, Bentonville; brother, Melvin Simpson of Rogers and eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 today at First Baptist Church in Cave Springs. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Cave Springs with Rev Marvin Loyd and Pastor Gary Brewer officiating. Interment will be in Cave Springs Cemetery.
