Harry Lee Ritchie, 47, of Smackover, an employe of Cross Refining Co. for the last 22 years, died in an El Dorado hospital Monday at 9:35 p.m. after an illness of several months. A lifelong resident of South Arkansas, Mr. Ritchie was born in Louann May 23, 1916, the son of Milton Hall and Bertha Rogers Ritchie. He was a member of the Smackover Church of Christ and of Local 385, Operating Engineers. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lucille Cobb Ritchie; a son, Ronald Ritchie of Smackover; a daughter, Mrs. James Bryant of Camden; two brothers, B.F. Ritchie of Norphlet and Milton E. Ritchie of El Dorado; and three sisters, Mrs. Travis Wood and Mrs. W. B. Tunnell, both of El Dorado, and Mrs. R. L. Clawson of Smackover. Funeral services have been announced for Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Smackover Church of Christ, with T. F. Ware officiating. Burial will be in the Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Wednesday. (The El Dorado Times - April 21, 1964)
