ROGERS — Mark Edward Whitley, 40 of Rogers, passed away Nov. 22, 2013, in his home. He was born March 5, 1973 in Rogers the son of Robert and Joyce Fielding Whitley.

Mark graduated from Rogers High School in 1991, he then attended and graduated from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla., in 1995 and received his MBA in 2008 from the University of Arkansas.

He formerly worked in the planning department for the City of Rogers and worked eight years as a project manager for Walmart. He recently worked in the Central Imaging & Lab Department for the Mercy Physicians Plaza in Rogers.

He was a member of the Nazarene Church and attended Fellowship Bible. Mark enjoyed spending time with Ermie & Honey, along with his many other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was an avid photographer and loved spending time with his dogs and his family.

Survived by his parents, Bob and Joyce Whitley of Rogers; his siblings, Keith Whitley and wife Jessica, Susan Whitley, Robert Whitley and wife Shelia, all of Rogers; his nephew, Jason Dickard; his nieces, Michelle Slate and husband Lenard, Megan Blevins and husband Jared, and great-nephew, Truman Dickard.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. today, Nov. 24, 2013, at Benton County Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes c/o Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers. Online condolence to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
