Emmett Martin "Marty" Hale, 55, of Hattieville, died Monday, November 7, 2011 at the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock.

He was born February 21, 1956 in Russellville the son of Emmett Franklin and Bertha Birge Hale. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served in the Army National Guard. He loved the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Sherrie Russell Hale.

He is survived by a son, Nathan Hale and fiancé Rosalinda McFarland of Hattieville; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Mandy Flory and husband Chris of Hattieville and Andrea Hale of Russellville; 5 grandchildren, Josh Hogrefe, Riley Ennis, Christian Flory, Sy Parks and Eden Parks; his mother, Bertha Staggs of Russellville; 2 brothers, Willis Staggs of Atkins and Rickey Staggs of Knoxville; 3 sisters, Vickey Bryant of Atkins, Kathy Andrus of Russellville and Phyllis Hopson of Russellville; numerous nieces and nephews; the mother of his children, Lucia Felkins of Russellville; and his beloved pet, Tigger.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 6-8:00 PM Thursday at Lemley Chapel. Burial will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock at a later date.
