Gerald Hall, age 84, of Searcy, died Monday, December 19, 2011.
Gerald was born June 21, 1927 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He was a World War II veteran and served for 20 years as a volunteer firefighter with the Fairview Fire Department.
He worked at the Central Arkansas Hospital in the maintenance department and was a member of the hospital board of directors. Gerald was also a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Searcy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Hall and Bernice Holston-Hall.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Donna Hall; one son, Kevin Hall and his wife Shannon; three daughters, Annette Vaughn and her husband Ken, Debra Hall Fisher and her husband Dr. Charles Fisher, and Denise Dickinson and her husband Stephen; five granddaughters, Clarissa Carter and her husband Jody, Meryl Vaughn, Ryan and Wesley Dickinson and Taffi Hall; and one grandson, Asa Hall.
A memorial service will be held for Gerald at the National Cemetery Complex and he will be interred at Little Rock National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Searcy.
