Wife of Milford Russell Downard, US MARINE CORPS, CPL, KOREA
Noretta Marie Downard, 75, of DeWitt, died Sept. 7, 2012 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. Born April 5, 1937, in Canton, IL, she was the daughter of Leroy J. Baylon and Leona Buley.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in DeWitt. She loved crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Shirley List and Venla McPherson and her husband, Johnny; and a special friend, Donna Childers.
She is survived by her husband, Milford Russell Downard of DeWitt; a son, William Leroy Downard of Daytona Beach, FL; four daughters, Barbara Lynn Letts of Ormond Beach, FL, Penny Marie Hill and Sheri Murphree of DeWitt and Terisa Ann Hansen of Houston, TX; two sisters, Carole Dean Engle and Delores Spiva of Canton, IL; eight grandchildren; Michael, Linda, Richard, Jeremy, Ashley, Kayla, Vaughn, Ashley Downard and Cody; and one great-grandaughter Emma Lynn Bland. Cremation service was handled by Mc Kinzie Funeral Home of DeWitt.
