Distinguished Flying Cross
William “Bill” Duncan, Jr., 82, of Jacksonville passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015.
He served in the Air Force in Vietnam and was a Retired Master Sargent with 23 years service. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and enjoyed wintering with The Snowbirds at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. Bill was a member of the VFW, NCOA and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carleen Duncan; children, “Tony” Duncan and “Billy” Duncan (Melissa); granddaughters, Nicole Duncan and Jessica Davis; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Peyton and Madelyn; four step-children; and a favorite niece, Connie Alton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nonnie Ingle Duncan; sister, Juanita Marler; best friend and faithful companion, Joey.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
