Robert Pitts Ellington, age 89 of Elora, Tennessee died on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Lincoln Medical Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee. He was born Wednesday, January 25, 1922 in Little Rock, Arkansas; the son of the late Irvin Brown and Lera Pitts Ellington. He served his country in the US Coast Guard and worked as a conductor for the railroad. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ellington is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Ellington, sister, Anita Welhouse, and daughter, Dorene Ellington. Surviving is daughter, Bobbye Ellington of Elora, TN, step-sons, Bill and Dick Bird of Arkansas as well as ten grandchildren. Interment will be in N. Little Rock VA Cemetery.
