Funeral services for Janet Jones Burns, age 71, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA with Bro. Phillip Casper officiating. Interment will follow in Western Cemetery, Emerson, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 28, 2014 from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Ms. Burns was born on August 10, 1943 to Arnold Ralph Jones and Pauline "Polly" Wynne Jones in Springhill, LA passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at her home in Springhill.

She is survived by two sons, Todd Burns and wife Beth of Shreveport, LA, Dr. Jason Burns McLavy and spouse Dr. Scott McLavy of Ocala, FL; sister, Elaine Jones Collier; brothers, Scott Taliaferro and wife Rose of Springhill, Tony Taliaferro and wife Margee of Berlin, PA; her beloved grandchildren, Tori, Chase and wife Emily, Sam, Lorren, Jackson, Abigail, and Carter. Also by several nieces and nephews and the father of her children, Larry Burns of Benton, LA.

Ms. Burns was preceded in death by her parents and infant nephew, Joshua Taliaferro.

Those honoring her as pallbearers will be Chase Burns, Sam Burns, Butch McClellan, Scott McLavy, Danny Bowlin, and Kevin Bryan.
