Graveside services for Mr. Willie Albert "Sam" Creasy, age 86, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Western Cemetery, Emerson, AR with Dr. Charles Payne officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, at Bailey Funeral Home.

Mr. Creasy was born on January 8, 1930 to Albert and Clara Wilkes Creasy in Bedford, VA and passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at his home in Shongaloo. He was a former resident of Winter Park, FL for 25 years and attended the New Era United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict and was a retired employee of the U. S. Post Office with 30 years of service. He enjoyed wood carving, painting, gardening and hunting and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, of 61 years, Ruth Bridwell Creasy; daughter, Pam Carter and husband, Johnny of Emerson, AR; son, Jeff Creasy and wife, Cheryl of Oviedo, FL; grandchildren, Dustin Carter, Ryan Carter and wife, Alex; Megan Myerson and husband, Michael; great-granddaughter, Saylor; three sisters, Ann Donaldson of Orlando, FL; Nadine Mitchell and Margaret Hytes, both of VA.

Mr. Creasy was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doris Hackworth, Nancy Campbell and Naomi Sanders and a brother, Lawrence Creasy.
