Shirley Faye Smith, age 76, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at her home.

Shirley was born, August 15, 1940 in Mansfield, Louisiana to the late Albert Reeves and Susie (McCullough) Shelton.
Shirley was a dedicated Christian woman. She was a member of New Hope Baptist church where she served as chairwoman for their Prayer Chain.

Shirley is survived by her son, Vince Smith and his wife, Chauna, of Hammond, Louisiana;
one daughter Karen A. Foreman of Yellville, Arkansas;five grandsons;four granddaughters;
and sixteen great-grandchildren; along with many others who loved her as a mother or grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents;
her husband, Jerry D. Smith; and her son Jay Smith.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at New Hope Baptist Church, Yellville, Arkansas with Derek Grigg officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Yellville.

Pallbearers will be Brent Butterfield, Ed Godat, Nathan Dyuran, Aaron Dyuran, Jim Allen Raley, and Caleb Gilley.

Memorials may be made in her memory to New Hope Baptist Church or Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Association.
