Funeral services for Mr. Henry "Pat" Modisette, age 79, will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at New Sarepta Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Woolley and Rev. Marty Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Western Cemetery, Emerson, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Modisette was born on March 28, 1937 to Finis Melvin and Nellie Gay Patterson Modisette in Shongaloo, LA and passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at his home. He was a lifelong resident of this area and a faithful member of New Sarepta Baptist Church. He was a former employee of International Paper Company with 19 years of service and was a retired employee of Marathon Oil Company with 18 years of service. He was member of the Double Six Dominoe Club, an avid outdoorsman and loved to garden. His heart will be forever a Sarepta Hornet; he was especially close to his graduating class of 1956. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and, he will be missed by his many friends and loved ones.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Myrtis Finlay Modisette; daughter, Patsy Warford and husband, Gary; son, Paul Modisette, all of Sarepta, LA; four grandchildren, April Timmons and husband, Jeremy, Heath Warford and wife, Casey, Colby Modisette and Patrick Modisette; four great-grandchildren, Gunner, Paige, Grant and Ruby; sisters, Rose Turner, of Bossier City, LA; Bobbie Lewis and husband, Don of Sarepta,LA; Sandra Modisette and husband, Butch of Shongaloo, LA; brother, Larry Modisette and wife, Ruth Ann of Haynesville, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Modisette was preceded in death by his parents, eleven brothers and six sisters.
