ANDERSON, Robert S. - (from The Fayetteville Sentinel) The funeral services of the late Robert S. Anderson, who died at the home of his daughter at Grove, Okla., was held at the home of W.L. Anderson Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. Steel of Fort Smith officiating. Mr. Anderson was seventy three years old and until a few years ago lived near Fayetteville. Two of his children, W.L. Anderson and Mrs. Nettleship, live in Fayetteville now. He was a most worthy citizen. (Mr. Anderson will be remembered by Springdale people as he formerly resided at this place.)

Cornelia Anderson, widow of Robert Anderson, who died March 1, 1909, submitted Widow Application #13298 for a Confederate widow pension and it was received as allowed on August 14, 1911 at the State, citing her husband’s service with Company C, 34th Arkansas Infantry from 1862 thru 1865.
