Gerald Edward Rinke, 72, of Altus died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, in Ozark. He was born Dec. 19, 1942, in Altus. He was a retired Altus chief of police and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, LOPFI, Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph’s Society and the Eagles Ozarka Aerie in Altus.
Rosary will be 6 p.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altus.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Altus under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.
He is survived by a brother, Leon Rinke of West Helena.
Pallbearers will be Todd Bevil, Steve Timmerman, Fred Holloway, George Flegel Jr., David Kendricks and Thomas Post.
Honorary pallbearers will be Franklin County law enforcement officers and members of the Knights of Columbus.
