Thomas Felix Duerr, Sr., 80, of Altus, Arkansas, died January 24, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He was a retail Business Owner and Rancher. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; the Knights of Columbus; served on the Parrish Council;and was a member of Arkansas Cattlemens Association.
He was born March 10, 1936 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Joseph and Elizabeth Marie Duerr; a son, Thomas Duerr, Jr., and a daughter Nancy Jane Duerr.
Thomas is survived by his wife Jean Murray Duerr of Altus; a son Eddie Duerr and wife Daisy of Ozark; a daughter Connie Flegel and husband Bobby of Altus; one brother Ben Duerr of Oregon; two sisters Betty Post of Altus and Mary Weiden of New York; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 28, 2017 with funeral mass immediately following at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altus with Father Hugh Assenmacher, OSB, officiating and burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Serving as pallbearers are Greg Timmerman, Chris Warden, Todd Timmerman, Eugene Post, Greg Warden, Dr. Eddie Vela
