Wayne E. Becker, 74, of Ozark, Arkansas, died Friday, November 14, 2014.
He was born December 18, 1939 in Hartman, Arkansas.

He was a retired carpenter and served as a Boy Scout leader for twenty years. He was a member of Sons and Daughters of the Old West; a member of St., Mary’s Catholic Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and President of the St. Joseph’s Society. Wayne enjoyed music, going to Branson and he played the Dulcimer. He enjoyed all outside activities including gardening, hunting and fishing.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Bill Becker; his mother Anna Becker; and three brothers, Donald, Willis, and Richard Becker.

Survivors include his wife Barbara of 45 years of marriage and one son, Chris and wife Margaret of Mt Vernon, Washington; two brothers, Bill Becker of Alma and Raymond Becker of Alix, Arkansas; one sister, Mary Ann Chance of Ozark, and three sister-in-laws, Becky Kopecky of Kansas City, Missouri, Earlene Becker of Alma, Arkansas, and Velma Becker of Booneville, Arkansas.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altus with Father Hugh Assenmacher, OSB presiding. Blue jeans are acceptable.
Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

Pallbearers are Bart Chance, Barry Chance, Allen Becker, Ralph Becker, Bill Becker, Mike Becker; honorary pallbearers are Steve Prado, Bob Howard, Sonny Hill, Jim Bearden, Mark Leding, Gary Weik, and Bob Newbold.

Rosary will be at 6:00 pm Tuesday, November 18th at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.
