Gary Dean George, 77, of Ozark, Arkansas, died Sunday, September 4, 2016 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He was born April 2, 1939 in St. Joseph, Missouri to James William and Mary Louise Cott George.
He was a retired maintenance employee of Wal-Mart; a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree member in Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elizabeth George, and a brother James William George, Jr.
He is survived by a son, Richard George of Winslow, Arkansas; three daughters, Debbie Lewis of Fort Smith, Diane Phillips of Ozark, and Lisa Gregg of Prairie Village, Kansas; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 10, 2016 and Rosary at 6:00 PM Friday, September 9th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altus, Arkansas, under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

Elizabeth Anne George, 74, of Ozark died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, in Fort Smith.
She was born Dec. 1, 1936, in East Douglas, Mass.
She worked at Walmart and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altus.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.
She is survived by her husband, Geary; three daughters, Debora Lewis of Fort Smith, Diane Phillips of Ozark and Lisa Gregg of Prairie Grove; a son, Richard George of Winslow; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
