William Monroe Hughes, Jr., 67
William Monroe Hughes, Jr, son of the late William Monroe Hughes, Sr and Augusta Sue Rosenbaum Hughes, was born December 15, 1949 in Monterey Park, California. He departed this life April 12, 2017 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 28 days. He was united in marriage to Rhonda Lea Lester September 12, 1993 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He spent his life as a loving, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years he was a self employed master plumber.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years: Rhonda Hughes of the home; six children: Shannon Phelps (John) of Saluda, Virginia, Richard Hughes (Melissa) of Silver City, New Mexico, Christina Cruz of Silver City, New Mexico, James Jarrett (Shandra) Flippin , Cortney Jarrett of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Robert Jarrett (Dorothy) Rio Rancho, New Mexico; thirteen grandchildren: Colby Phelps, Jennifer Hughes, Gabriella Hughes, Reno Hughes, Erica Farley, Isaiah Cruz, Shantelle Farley, Matthew Jarrett, Gabriel Jarrett, Elora Jarrett, Jasen Baker, Amber Baker, Tyler Hamilton Jarrett; one sister: Rebecca Archuleta (David) and their children: Belinda and Jimmy Archuleta and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather: William Carroll.
A memorial service will be held April 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Table Rock Cemetery.
