Lyndle is the son of Truman "Toonie" Britton and Jessie (Neal) Britton. Lyndle was a US Merchant Marine.


Lyndle Gene Britton, 37, of Walnut Ridge, died Sept. 11, 2008, in St. Louis.

He was a mate for the American River Transportation Company and had received his pilot's license. He had lived in Lawrence County all his life and was of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wesley Britton.

Survivors include a daughter, Taylor Hope Britton, Bryant; a son, Breydon Lyndle Britton, Jonesboro; his parents, Truman "Toonie" and Jessie Neal Britton, Walnut Ridge; a sister, Phyllis Brewer, Thayer, Mo.; and three brothers, Allen Britton, Paragould, Keith Britton, Walnut Ridge, and Greg Britton, Thayer, Mo.

Funeral was Sunday at 2 p.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home with William C. "Dub" Holt officiating. Burial was in Whittaker Cemetery, near Walnut Ridge.

Pallbearers were Stevie Neal, Shannon Neal, Shawn Brewer, Aaron Seel, Kylie Lawson, Adam Holland and Scott Nichols. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Harper, Ron Britton, Blake Britton, Grant Liles, Jonathan Sanders, Tel Britton, Jeremy Britton and Cleo Neal.
