Bob the son of Buford Boyd and Alice (Walker) Boyd. He is the husband of Judy A (Pierce) Boyd.


Bob Boyd, 62, passed from this life Sunday December 4, 2011, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 12, 1949, in Walnut Ridge, AR., to Buford and Alice Walker Boyd.

He was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County and had worked at Hoxie City Water Works for over 30 years. He was a member of the Hoxie Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Pierce Boyd of the home; daughters, Nena Sumner of Jonesboro, Donna Taylor of Lonoke, Tammy Walker of Paragould, Mary Ann Walker of Hoxie and Samantha Cross of Walnut Ridge; son, Blake Boyd of Walnut Ridge; sisters, Margie Bell of College City, Helen Halcum of Cayce, S.C., Kay Hutton of Walnut Ridge, Norie Tribble of Hoxie, Betty Stafford of Walnut Ridge and Becky Gray of Hoxie; brother, Steve Boyd of Hoxie; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held at the Hoxie Service Center. His body was donated to Science per his request. His final resting place will be at Lawrence Memorial Park. House Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge had charge of arrangements.
