Leroy Clem October 28, 1928 - November 23, 2015

Leroy Clem, 87, of Strawberry, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at a nursing home in Cave City.

He was born in Calamine, Arkansas on October 28, 1928, and was the son of Y. L. Clem and Verna Clark Clem. He was a truck driver for 50 years before retiring and was of the Assembly of God faith. He was a family man who enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, and fishing. He was always ready to visit friends when they were sick. Always happy, he also liked going to the river and enjoyed water skiing.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mildred (Bennett) Clem of Strawberry; a daughter, Linda West also of Strawberry; two grandchildren, Michael West (Lynette), and Denna Wheeler (Kenny); four great-grandchildren, Brandon West (Brandi), Bryce West (Shawne), Jessica Crider (Payton), and Cody Wheeler; and one great-great-grandchild, Melody Crider.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Willie Clem, L. J. Clem; and two sisters, Lily Mae Crouch, and Ruby Tippitt.

Pallbearers will be Bryce West, Brandon West, Cody Wheeler, Rickey Clem, Kenny Bennett, and Kerry Crouch. Honorary pallbearers are Cave City Nursing Home Staff, Kenny Wheeler, Larry Liles, and Andy Liles.

The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-Crouch-McGee Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Curt Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Ward Cemetery in Strawberry under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to Ward Cemetery Fund.

Mildred (Bennett) Clem, 88, of Strawberry, Arkansas died Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Cave City Nursing Home.

She was born in Charlotte, Arkansas on September 6, 1928, and was the daughter of Homer T. Bennett and Virgie Mae (Ward) Bennett. She loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda West of Strawberry; two grandchildren, Michael West (Lynette) of Concord and Denna Wheeler (Kenny) of Evening Shade; four great-grandchildren, Brandon West (Brandi) of Batesville, Bryce West (Shawne) of Batesville, Jessica Crider (Payton) of Evening Shade and Cody Wheeler of Cave City; and three great-great-grandchildren, Owen West, Reece West and Melody Crider.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, Leroy Clem; brother, A. L. Bennett; and sister, Dale Powers.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2017, at Roller-Crouch McGee Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Kurt Howard and Bro. Matt Donnell officiating. Burial will follow at Ward Cemetery in Strawberry.

Pallbearers will be Kerry V. Crouch, Payton Crider, Ricky Clem, Kenny Bennett and Kerry F. Crouch.

Honorary pallbearers are Jody Newcomb, Larry Liles, Andy Liles, Carl Crouch and Cave City Nursing Home Staff.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the funeral home.
