ROGERS — Ethel Faye Heins of Rogers passed away Nov. 4, 2014, in her home. She was born March 29, 1919, in Arkansas City, Kan., to Walter and Mabel Bottens.

She moved to Rogers at the age of 5 months.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings; and her husband, Walter.

Ethel Faye is survived by her son, Donald Heins and his wife, Kathy, of Jane, Mo., their four children, and two great-granddaughters; her daughter, Dorothy Salmon and husband, George, of Rogers, their four children, and seven great-grandchildren: along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was the first graduate of Ozark Bible College, now Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Mo. She taught at a County School in Rogers, called Shady Grove, and also taught school in Salem, Ore.

She married June 21, 1953, to Walter F. Heins.

She was an active member of Rogers Christian Church. She liked to quilt, crochet and watch the various birds. She also loved to garden and work with her flower gardens.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m, Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at the Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. Fourth, Rogers. Interment will follow in the Rogers Cemetery, Rogers, Ark.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rogers Christian Church Abra Missions Fund.
