GENTRY — Marion Edward Fielding, 98, passed away in Siloam Springs on Aug. 6, 2015. He was born June 21, 1917, to Roy G. Fielding and Eva Violet Howe Fielding in Rogers.

He grew up on a farm in the Pleasant Ridge community, was one of the original members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Rogers and is now a member of the Springtown Church.

Marion graduated from the Rogers High School with the class of '35. He graduated from Madison College in Madison, Tenn., and worked as a medical technologist until his retirement.

During World War II he spent three years with the military in Europe. He served as a medic attached to the 460th Anti-Aircraft Battalion. He was awarded 5 Bronze Service Stars for service in these campaigns: Normandy; Northern France; Rhineland; Ardennes; and Central Europe.

In 1946 he was married to Artie Henry Fielding, to whom he was married for almost 70 years.

He is survived by his wife of the home; sons, Edward Fielding and Frances of Gentry, Andrew Fielding of the home; daughters, Judy Fielding Anderson and Don of Redlands, Calif., Mallory Fielding of the home; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, in Rogers Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers. www.RollinsFuneral.com.

GENTRY — Artie Juanita Henry Fielding was born March 14, 1922, in Monte Ne, Ark. Artie was the second of nine children born to Thelma Lewis Henry and Jesse Roddy Henry.

Artie was married to Marion Edward Fielding on Sept. 15, 1946, to whom she was married for 69 years. They had two children, Judy Fielding Anderson and Edward Wayne Fielding. In 2001, they adopted great-grandchildren, Mallery and Andrew Fielding.

Artie was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Fielding; father Jesse Henry; mother Thelma Henry; brothers Dempsey Henry, Sequoyah Henry, Delmer Henry and Sidney Henry; sisters Edna Smallwood, Melba Fielding and Clytia (Sue) Brumley; and granddaughter Jennifer Denise Fielding Utsler.

She is survived by brother Ronald Henry of Huntsville, Ark.; daughter Judy Anderson and husband Don of Redlands, Calif.; son Edward Fielding and wife Frances of Gentry, Ark.; great-granddaughter Mallery Fielding; great-grandson Andrew Fielding; great-grandson Dylan Utsler; grandchildren Don Anderson, Erin Anderson Sprinkman and Megan Anderson; and their children Taryn and Brooklynn Anderson, Scarlett and Maddox Sprinkman, and Brayden and Brody Pence.

Burial will be facilitated by Rollins Funeral Home, Rogers. She will be buried next to Marion Fielding in Rogers Cemetery.
